Who are We?
Endless Mountains Christian Academy, located at 135 West Tioga St., is a ministry of the Pilgrim Holiness Church of Tunkhannock. It has offered quality Christian education to the community since 1982.
Kindergarten and 1st grade students are taught using Bob Jones University Press Curriculum. The materials in this curriculum are designed, published, correlated, and set up for traditional classroom use. In addition, teachers are required to plan their lessons using curriculum guides for each level of progress. Learning is enforced through textbooks, workbooks, board work, manipulatives, charts, drills, memory work, games, visual aids, and audio visual media. Areas of study are: Bible, Phonics, English, Grammar, Spelling, Reading, Penmanship, Literature, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Health, Art, and Music.
Students enrolling in grades 2-12 utilize the Accelerated Christian Education Curriculum. This curriculum is designed to proceed at the exact level determined by the student's ability. This individualization makes it possible for each student to master the subject matter before moving on, thus producing academic excellence. Areas of study are: Bible, Mathematics, English, Literature, Word Building, Social Studies, Science, and with electives in Bible, Business, Fine Arts, Government, Health, and Language.
In all grades, character building and traditional Biblical values are stressed enabling the students to meet challenges, opportunities, and interpersonal relationships in a positive way.
Teachers are required to be born again Christians, graduates of a qualified college, trained in their areas of pedagogy, dedicated to teaching, and committed to the philosophy of Christian Education. The administration monitors teacher’s work to assure that quality Christian Education is given to each student. As rapidly as we are able, funding is provided for equipment, learning aids, reinforcement aids, etc.
The school is a member of Keystone Christian Education Association, who, since 1974, has helped preserve the freedoms and liberties in Pennsylvania’s churches, schools, and families, promoted quality educational programs for our schools, and helped those in need of encouragement and instruction.
Endless Mountains Christian Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race in the administration of its educational policies or admissions policies, subject to and in conformity with the school’s religious beliefs and practices as embodied in its rules and regulations.
It is the purpose of the Endless Mountains Christian Academy to provide superior academic training, build strong Christian character, develop personal discipline, promote godliness, and foster outstanding citizenship in each child.
